I would like to improve the health of all women who no longer have to suffer in silence due to the fact that they are subjecting their bodies to unnecessary harm by using supermarket sanitary napkins. Did you know that Dysmenorrhoea is the most common menstrual symptom that women seek medical assistance with, requiring use of medications such as ponstan and other anti-inflammatory medications that each have their own side effects and risks. Not to mention that GP’s are unnecessarily prescribing the oral contraceptive pill to assist our teenage daughters with period pain.
Second to that Mennorrhagia (heavy bleeding), a sign of more serious diseases such as uterine fibroids or endometriosis can often result in infertility. Other abnormal uterine bleeding known as menorrhagia is different to the normal menstrual cycle, it occurs when bleeding is heavy and lasts for long periods, or the periods are irregular and too close together. The medical treatment of menorrhagia varies from woman to woman. Often an intrauterine device (IUD) such as a Mirena is fitted or the doctor prescribes oral contraceptives or the progesterone only pill. Oral contraceptives carry risk of clotting (stroke) tenfold if she smokes. Hysterectomy is definitive surgical treatment for menorrhagia where the uterus and cervix are completely removed and the menstrual periods then cease. This is following repeated treatments such as dilation and curettage(D&C) treatment where the lining of the uterus is scraped, as hysterectomy is the last resort.
I have discovered through the Winalite business is that many women are not informed that the products they considered safe bought off the supermarket shelf are contributing to these menstrual disasters. Considering that a woman will use an average of 12000 pieces of sanitary items as her menstrual cycle lasts between 30-40 years between the ages of 12 to 55, she is subjecting herself to unnecessary dioxin exposure.
Published scientific reports have shown that the alkaline substances disturb the protective acidity of the body allowing the growth of Trichomonas bacteria that destroy sperms in the vagina causing infertility. Other scientists are reporting a growing body of evidence that low levels of dioxins may be linked to cancer, endometriosis, low sperm counts and immune suppression. This is Candice, whom you met while working together at Geelong Private CCU one weekend about 3 months ago. I'm responding to your calls that you left for me while I was away in Europe on holidays. Luckily, your parcel of the pads arrived the day that I departed so I just threw them into my carry on and ended up using them twice while I was away.
I can't remember much about what you said the pads were supposed to assist with, but I can tell you that I normally suffer quite severe period pain and heavy periods as I have diagnosed endometriosis. I also usually experience quite significant groin pain (it feels like someone has hit me with a plank or something) as well as pain down my legs, with the sensation being likened to having run about 10 kms hard and that awful feeling of lactic acid afterwards.
However when using the pads I experienced very little period pain, and while my periods were still as heavy as usual, I didn't get any of my usual groin (plank) pain, and nor did I get any of my leg pains. The first cycle I put down to co-incidence, as I only needed two doses of panadol for the period pain that I normally get and this is very unusual for me, as I usually have panadiene forte for the first day and half and then panadiene for another day. But after the same thing happened with using the remaining pads on my second cycle while overseas and then having to go back to normal pads and getting period pains back on day three, it was no longer a co-incidence! Having said that, can I please have some more pads, cos they really worked for me! Just tell me how much, as it means that I might just be able to work during my first two or three days rather than having to take time off!
